What should you wear for an MRI scan?

🗣️ Hello MRI Techs, MRI Students, or anyone looking to become an MRI Tech, you have control over your MRI suite and environment.

🔔 I find it easier for me to have all my patients change into a gown or scrubs. Even if patients have on 100% cotton clothing, there may be something they forget to remove. (Cell phone, jewelry, cards, cigarette lighter, bras, etc 💳⌚️📱). All of these aren’t safe to enter into the MRI room and can get destroyed and/or cause artifacts on the MRI images or burns to the patient.

💡 You may hear someone tell you, “The last tech didn’t have me change” or “I’ve done this 10 times and didn’t change.”

✅ Always have your patients change. It’s for their safety! It’s your environment, take control!
